The Stark Museum of Art is pleased to announce the third annual Arise: 2021-2022 Orangish County High School Senior Fine art Exhibition. The exhibition will characteristic original works of art from high school seniors in Orangish County graduating in May 2022. The exhibition will be held October 16 – December 22, 2021 in the Community Gallery at the Stark Museum of Art. The exhibition is open up to all seniors for the 2021-2022 school twelvemonth enrolled in individual, public, or homeschool in Orange Canton.
Important Dates and Data:
- Registration forms will exist available outset September vii, 2021 at starkmuseum.org.
- Artwork must be delivered to the Stark Museum of Art by Friday, October 1, 2021 no subsequently than 5:00 p.m. Tardily entries will not be accepted. All of the entries for an individual campus should be delivered at the aforementioned time.
- The exhibition volition be installed in the Customs Fine art Gallery at the Stark Museum of Art and also hosted online as a virtual exhibition through the Museum'due south website and social media platforms such as Facebook and YouTube.
- Orange Canton public school artwork volition exist delivered to each campus on Jan ten, 2022. Exhibited artwork from Orangish County private and homeschools will exist available for pick-up between Jan 5 and 8, 2022 at the Museum's Welcome Desk-bound. Artwork that is not picked upwardly will exist deemed donated and will be discarded or used for other purposes as accounted appropriate by the Stark Museum.

Guidelines for Submission:
- Artist must be entering their senior twelvemonth as of August 2021. Artists must be enrolled in a public, private, or homeschool in Orangish County.
- Artwork must exist two-dimensional, and either mitt-rendered or traditional/digitally manipulated images. Artwork should be created during the student's nineth, xth, 11thursday, or 12thursday class year.
- Frame and artwork may non exceed 27 ½" x 21 ½" inches. All entries will be measured upon receipt.
- Artwork must be appropriate for an audience of all ages, including children. Excessively violent themes, offensive, crude, or derogatory subjects or designs are not permitted. Artworks that reflect controversial, political, or religious themes are not permitted. Stark Museum, at its sole discretion, reserves the correct to turn down or remove any submission that fails to meet these standards.
- Each submission must be completely finished (NO Wet Paint/NO EXCEPTIONS).
- Only ane original artwork per artist may be submitted. Artwork may not a directly re-create of an artist'south work (including just non limited to examples found on the internet through search engines, Pinterest, Instagram, etc.). Artwork establish to non exist an original will exist disqualified and returned to the teacher and/or student.
- Artwork MUST be ready to hang at the time of submission. Artwork must be framed in a black frame. Frames must be equipped with 2 d-rings for hanging. D-rings should be placed a minimum of 3" from the top of the frame. No saw tooth hangers, agglutinative wire strips, clips or other fasteners should be used.
- Students and teachers are advised to identify all artwork nether plexiglass or glass for protection during the exhibition. However, plexiglass or drinking glass are not required framing elements.
- Artwork must have artist proper noun and school on the dorsum of his/her submission.
- Artist must submit a 150-200 word creative person statement nearly their artwork with their submission. Creative person statements must be typed. Creative person statements will be on view with the artwork and should be proofed for grammar, spelling, and syntax. Creative person statements will be presented as is.
- Artists must submit a articulate digital epitome of their unframed submission in .jpg format by email to jrestauri@starkmuseum.org by entry borderline.
- Completed registration course, with student and parent signatures,MUST accompany the artwork. All students regardless of historic period must accept both parent and student signature.
